We are very sad to announce that our good friend and fellow musician, Roger Cramphorn, passed away on September 25th. Roger was the founding father, leader and clarinetist of the APEX Jazz Band for 43 years from 1974 to 2017. We are sure his outgoing personality, unique musical styles and groaner jokes will be remembered fondly by the many friends and fans of the band who knew him.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Roger’s wife Pauline, son Nicholas, daughters Sarah and Melissa, and several grandchildren. His was a life well-lived.
As if the passing of band founder Roger Cramphorn last week wasn't sad enough, we also learned that our good friend David Johnstone had passed away on July 25 at the age of 85. Dave was our affable banjo and guitar player for 25 years from 1993 to 2018. A celebration of Dave's life will took place in conjunction with our last show at Buster's on October 5. Busters Bar & Grill.
